Description
The role of the Resident Project Representative (RPR) is to oversee the Contractor's work performance in accordance with approved Plans & Specifications. An RPR shall have excellent oral and written skills, as he or she will be in constant communication with Superintendents, Foreman, Clients, Home/Land Owners, etc.
Key Responsibility

Be on-site daily when Contractors are executing Contract Work.

Document daily observations in a highly detailed and oriented manner.

Measure and track quantities, daily.

Monitor construction progression.

Review Shop Drawings and delivered materials for compliance.

Initial review of Contractor payment applications, attend Pre-Construction and Progress Meetings, prepare Meeting Agendas, and provide detailed meeting memorandums.

Proficiently read and comprehend detailed drawings and specifications, and identify potential conflicts prior to construction and during construction, looking forward to upcoming construction tasks.

Oversee other field hands and assistants as necessary.

Communicate efficiently with other staff, field members, Project Managers, Engineers, etc.

Perform other duties when required.

Preferred: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D & industry-related certifications

Maintain a valid Kansas drivers license
Location
The roles and responsibilities of the RPR will be located within the State of Kansas, with future possibilities for some out-of-state travel. An RPR will be required to be on-site during construction activities, which may require overnight stay - project location dependent.
Schedule
The RPR will be on the construction site daily during construction activities. The RPR will need to have the ability to work at the schedule of the Contractor. When not on-site, the RPR will be responsible for normal working hours either in the office or in the field.
